Syukran and his friends visited their classmate, Jia Kit who was admitted to hospital. They reached the hospital at about 2. 00 p. m. Many other people were waiting to visit the patients. They made their way to Jia Kit's room which is at Ward 8A on the 8th floor of the hospital.

Jia Kit had been hit by a car the day before and had fractured his left leg. He smiled weakly as his friends entered the room. He looked very pale. His leg was in a cast and raised on a sling. There were bruises on his left arm.

Carla, their class monitor, handed him a basket of fruits and a box of chocolates. He thanked them for the gift, He opened the box of chocolates and invited his friends to eat as well.

The friends talked about the accident. They talked about how to avoid such accidents from happening. One of the safety tips suggested was that everyone must be vigilant when walking or crossing the road. It is important to always stay on designated walkways for pedestrians.

Stay alert and always look left and right before crossing the street, even when the lights are green. Besides that, pedestrians must ensure that motorists can see them well enough in advance to steer away from a potential accident.

After a while, a nurse came in and it was time for Jia Kit to take his medication and get enough rest. So, they decided to leave. They promised to visit him again.

Yesterday was a hot night. I went to open my room windows and was shocked to see a robber climbing up my neighbour's gate. My neighbours had gone overseas and no one was at home. I quickly ran down to the living room.

My parents were watching television. I quickly told them what I had witnessed. My father called the police. Within ten minutes, two patrol cars arrived. Four police officers came out from the patrol cars. Two of them

minutes later, we saw the robber running out of the house.

The two officers chased after him. The robber ran fast but

the officers who waited outside were fast too. They soon

caught and handcutftd the robber. The police officers
